SMS Opt-In and Consent

Last updated: June 2026

Overview

This page explains how USURA.IO, operated by CDWJ LLC, collects your consent to send you text messages, what you can expect, and how to stop.

How You Opt In

We only send text messages to users who give express consent. You opt in by taking one of these explicit actions:

  • Checking the SMS consent box during sign-up or in your account settings, where you enter and verify your mobile number;
  • Verifying your mobile number by entering the one-time code we text you; or
  • Texting START, JOIN, or USURA to our number at (505) 569-6393.

Providing a mobile number and consenting to texts is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service.

What the Consent Screen Looks Like

Below is the exact consent control shown inside the USURA.IO app when you enter your mobile number. The box is unchecked by default; you must check it yourself to opt in.

Account settings ยท Mobile alerts
After checking this box, you confirm your number by entering a one-time code we text to it.

This is a faithful reproduction of the live in-app consent screen, shown here for public reference.

What Messages You'll Receive

After you opt in, messages may include one-time verification and security codes; account and security alerts, such as a connection that needs to be reconnected; bill and subscription reminders you have enabled; and confirmations when you text us an account screenshot, so you can approve what we read before it is saved.

If You Text Us a Screenshot

If you send us an image of an account, we process that image to read account details and, after you confirm them by reply, add them to your account. We delete the image from our messaging provider after processing. Do not text us anything you do not want processed for this purpose.

Message Frequency and Cost

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the alerts you enable. Message and data rates may apply. We do not control and are not responsible for charges from your wireless carrier, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to Stop or Get Help

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from texts; you may receive one confirmation message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@usura.io. Opting out of texts does not close your account; we will simply stop texting you.

Your Privacy

Mobile information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We use Twilio to deliver messages on our behalf.
